Mission MedVet is a 24-hour veterinary emergency/critical care and specialty referral hospital located in Mission, Kansas.  We provide service to the greater Kansas City metropolitan area,  Missouri, Kansas, and parts of Iowa and Nebraska.  Our hospital is a state-of-the-art facility complete with some of the most advanced technology, equipment, resources, and personnel available in veterinary medicine today.

Dr. Dave Allen founded Mission MedVet in August, 1993 with the goal of providing state of the art veterinary emergency and board-certified specialist care to the Kansas City metropolitan area.  Dr. Allen's initial staff included himself, one emergency doctor and a support staff of 3.  Although, the initial staff was small, the superior quality of care provided by Mission MedVet has allowed our staff to grow steadily.  Today, Mission MedVet's staff includes 8 board-certified specialists covering areas of surgery, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology, radiology and emergency/critical care.  We also have 3 full time emergency doctors on staff, as well as 2 surgical residents, 1 veterinary intern, 1 physical therapist and a highly trained support staff. Our entire staff consists of 60 employees.
